A Storm Is Coming!
The worst storms are from the East!
"Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." -Matthew 24:42.
"Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning..." -Luke 12:35.
Where is your heart?
Our hearts follow our treasures! We are admonished to practice generosity toward Almighty God, and avoid any form of fear-motivated clamoring for "things". (Luke 12:13-15). And to use material wealth for the kingdom of Almighty God, instead of using our material wealth for personal selfish ambition. (Luke 16:1-13).
"No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." -Luke 16:13.
We should not be seeking our security in financial holdings or material possessions. (Luke 18:22-27; Matthew 19:21-26; Mark 10:21-27).
"...be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry." -2 Timothy 4:5.
"Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame." -Revelation 16:15.
